About

In 2021, Tate Modern invited us to create the trailer for their latest exhibition, "The Making Of Rodin," in collaboration with the Musée Rodin. We used 3D scans of Rodin's sculptural plaster models to create the trailer. As the designer of the film, I studied the textures and materials on the plaster models and focused on making the texture appear sophisticated and realistic, while also breaking the viewers' preconceived notions of sculptures and making the white plaster look unique.

Process

The following are my initial artistic explorations of several Rodin plaster sculptures using the 3D scans. These explorations involved exploring camera language and additional colors. I persistently contemplated how to retain the beauty of the plaster sculptures while avoiding stiffness and infusing them with a contemporary aesthetic.
